  • After 10 minutes, inspect it and set it aside until all other ingredients are prepared.
  • In a pot for cooking put a spoonful of butter and a spoonful of oil.
  • After heating it, add the chopped onion and carrot into squares, and stir until soft.
  • Then add the tomato paste, and the chopped tomato kernel and stir well. and stir for half a minute, quickly stirring on low heat.
  • Then add two tablespoons of flour, and stir well until the consistency of the mixture becomes thick.
  • Then add the mixture to the bowl of lentils, and stir until completely blended.
  • A quarter of a liter of water is added to the mixture, and the mixture is stirred together until homogeneous.
  • Then add the remaining water liter and stir again.
  • Add the spices, paprika, black pepper, cumin, and dried mint. You can buy dried mint and can be dried at home.
  • Add a dash of green pepper, cut into small pieces.
  • After boiling the water, crush the mixture with an electric mixer, and leave it on low heat for half an hour while stirring.
  • Lentils are served hot with a mixture of olive oil, red pepper, and the juice of one lemon.
